Creating a list of items you would like to include in your registry

The first thing you need to do is make a list of items you are sure you would like to include in your registry.  You have probably already noticed there are all sorts of baby products out there and it can be overwhelming to figure out what to include.

When making your list, start with the basics:
  1. A place to sleep
  2. Clothes
  3. Diapers
  4. A car seat

Almost every single baby will need all four of these.  I would also add the need of a thermometer to know if your baby has a fever, and/or, how high a fever.

There are several options for places to sleep, including cribs, cosleepers, bassinets, playards, etc.

Clothes are necessary, but they also tend to be one of the most common gifts, often in small sizes.

You can choose to go with disposable diapers or cloth diapers (or both) and these can be included in the registries, but I would be careful to not include too many small sized diapers just in case (unless you know you will be able to return them).

Car seats also come in different forms, from "carrier" type of car seats, rear facing, for infants to convertible ones that can convert into forward facing and last until the child is older/heavier.

If you would like help with your list, I created one here.
